About Me and This Blog
This blog is just a means for me to keep connected with friends, family, and other contacts. More than anything, I really just want to post some of my slightly more interesting thoughts and observations about various experiences. These may range from cooking to Flying on the Weightless Wonder, visiting foreign countries, Buddhism, and exploring life in general as a college student. Maybe I will even post a paper or two. In short, I am attempting to make my thoughts more clear by posting them in a well written manner.
So here we go…
I am a physics major at a small liberal arts college. I am a Buddhist. I enjoy belly dancing and reading and listening to a plethora of genres of music. I may have been a tree in a past life.
Everyone should visit this page: Carthage Vomit. “Is this a college gossip site?” you might ask. No sir-ee-bub! This is a site that I author about my team’s experience with the NASA SEEDs program. But why “vomit?” Well the SEEDs program gives students a chance at systems engineering. The student researchers get to fly on NASA’s C-9 Weightless Wonder (aka the vomit comet) with their rig. It was incredibly thrilling to get positive data for a mission critical problem while floating weightlessly at the same time. I encourage everyone to read the blog and check out photos.
I hope you like the theme. The header is a photo that I took of some pretty flowers near Cape Town, South Africa.
Confused about the blog title? Read Dirk Gentley’s Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams. In the book, Dirk purchases a calculator which will produce the words “A Suffusion of Yellow” every time the output value is above 4. Funny, yet there is a tad more meaning to the quote/title. Anyway, read the book; it is rolling-on-the-floor/barfing-out-your-lungs hilarious.
